Starting something new used to begin somewhere unglamorous: a terminal, a clone command, a path you had to remember and paste back in. Small, but it sits between the idea and the work. Now it doesn't. Open Repositories, pick from everything your GitHub account can already see, and check the ones you want. They land in DF Code's own folder, ready to attach to a workspace, and the credential used to fetch them is never written down anywhere.
The rest of this release is about a quieter kind of friction. Every settings pane, every tab, every list now opens by telling you what it holds and what you actually do here, in a sentence or two, with a way through to the fuller explanation if you want it. Not a manual you have to go find. Just the screen explaining itself while you are standing on it.
And when a list is empty, it now offers to fix that. "Add one" takes you somewhere with the form already open, rather than depositing you on the right screen and leaving the last step to you. Small distance, closed.
A few other things got honest. Coding tools that aren't wired up yet say so, instead of letting you pick one and wonder why nothing happens. The macro autocomplete opens upward when there's no room below it. Three new Help articles cover the corners that had none.
None of this is the headline feature. That's sort of the point. The tool should get out of the way of the idea, and this release is a handful of places where it finally does. Full details on the Release Notes page.
