Backing up and restoring your setup

Link a GitHub account from your Profile, and your entire context — every workspace, every thread, every setting, everything — can sync to a repository of your choosing with one click. Think of it as a full backup of your own corner of DF Code, not just your code.

Turning on periodic sync keeps that backup current on its own, running quietly in the background rather than something you have to remember to trigger yourself.

Restoring is the reverse direction — pulling that backup back down and replacing whatever's currently on this machine with it, which is exactly how you'd move onto a fresh install or recover from a wiped one. Because it's destructive to whatever's already there, restoring always asks you to confirm first — it's never something that runs automatically on its own.
